Meet Sherry — Dog Trainer, Certified Family Dog Mediator™, Rescue Advocate, and Dog Hair Enthusiast Sherry comes from a family that always rescued animals. For as long as she can remember, there were animals in her home—it was just part of life. As an only child, her closest companions were often four-legged, furry, and full of personality. Building relationships with animals came naturally to her—it was never something she had to learn. It was simply who she was. But like many people, her journey took a few detours. Life pulled her in a different direction for a time, and she had to step away from animal work. As she got older, though, she found her way back—and when she did, it felt like coming home. She dove back into rescue and animal care with a deeper purpose. It wasn’t just about helping the animals anymore—it was about supporting the people who love them, too. Because Sherry believes the bond between a dog and their person is one of the most important relationships in any family. That belief is what led her to dog training.
For Sherry, training has never been about obedience or control. It’s about trust, communication, and creating a sense of safety—for both the dog and the human. She knows that most behavioral challenges come from confusion, fear, or miscommunication—not stubbornness. Her goal is always to meet the dog and their family where they are and work together to build understanding and harmony. Sherry is a Certified Family Dog Mediator™ (FDM), a program that perfectly aligns with her holistic, empathy-based approach. She’s also completed the Aggression in Dogs Master Course and is a supporting member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). She is continually expanding her knowledge and staying up-to-date on the latest science-based techniques in canine behavior. Whether she’s working with a high-energy puppy, a misunderstood rescue, or a family in need of a reset, Sherry brings compassion, clarity, and deep respect to every dog-human relationship she supports. Because to her, it’s not just about training—it’s about helping families live better lives together. (And yes, dog hair is her favorite accessory.)
